Architect with an active career. He completed his professional studies at the Faculty of Architecture in 2008 and in 2009 he obtained his postgraduate studies at the Universidad Iberoamericana. He has collaborated with several architecture firms (TEN Arquitectos, Enrique Norten Workshop, BUNKER Arquitectura, Arroyo Solís Agraz Arquitectos, and JSa (Javier Sánchez) specialized in the construction of physical and sculptural models as a design process in architecture and as a development for furniture design in AURA. He has also made models in collaboration with Mexican jewelry designers, such as TANE and Daniel Espinosa Jewelry.
His participation in museums and exhibitions as an architect include: in Mexico (Tamayo, Amparo, Polyforum Siqueiros, MARCO Mty.) in NY (MOMA), Madrid, Paris(Pompidou) and Milan(Museo delle Culture).
Erik Rico’s work as a visual artist revolves around deconstruction, dark surrealism, and autobiographical religious analysis as a creative process, reflected in drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. He has participated in numerous galleries collaborating with various galleries Mexico.
